Picture a Day 274: Unexpected

Reason for title: I set out to play with some new stuff I learned and had deconstructed, rhythm, flow of mass, and more (I've been re-reading one of Bridgman's books). So using my favorite futuristic spider, I decided to give it a go. I started drawing the form and his body and I thought "Why don't I construct some scenery around him as I draw him?" and this is the result.

This was totally unexpected.
